AURORA MARTHENS
Aurora Marthens was born in 1992. She began her studies at the Turku Conservatory and Institute of Music, moving on to the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki in 2013-2018. Currently, she is studying at the Berlin University of the Arts. She has participated in many masterclasses, including with Juha Uusitalo, Edith Mathis, Soile Isokoski, Jorma Hynninen, Irina Sharapova and Martin Katz. Since 2014 she has been a regular prize-winner at various competitions, for example the Helsinki Lied Competition (1st place), the Savonlinna Opera Festival International Singing Competition (1st place), Glyndebourne Opera Cup (semifinalist). Her operatic roles include Pamina (The Magic Flute), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Dew Fairy (Hansel and Gretel), the title role in Rita, Sister Genovieffa (Suor Angelica), and Micaëla (Carmen). Appearances include Savonlinna, the Berlin Philharmonic, Forssa and Helsinki.
