Underground: U1, U2, U4 – Stop at KARLSPLATZ
ATTENTION: from 31 May 2021 until autumn 2023, the U2 only runs from Seestadt to Schottentor. Between Schottenring and Karsplatz, the ring lines D, 1, 2, 71 will be supported by the additional streetcar U2Z.

There are taxi ranks near-by, after the performance taxis will drive up to the main entrance.
Parking with direct access to Wiener Staatsoper at Kärntnerstrasse car park (»Operngarage«)
The Kärntnerstrasse undergroundcar park (»Operngarage«) is located at Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz and offers direct access to the foyer of Wiener Staatsoper. . Please note that the discount you enjoy at Kärnterringgarage does not apply here.
The passage from the garage into the opera house is opened at the time of admission, which is usually one hour before the event begins. After the end of the event, as soon as the house is empty, this door is closed again.

Park your car for 8 hours at € 7! Wiener Staatsoper and the ÖPARK-Kärntnerringgarage underground car park at Mahlerstrasse 8 (located under the Ringstrassengalerien shopping mall) offer discounted flat-fee parking for up to 8 hours for persons attending performances at Wiener Staatsoper at € 7. Please draw a ticket when entering the Kärntnerringgarage underground car park and have it stamped at one of the discount machines located at the cloakrooms of Wiener Staatsoper.
The discount machines are located at the following cloakrooms: Operngasse, Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz, Balkon left, as well as Galerie.
Important: To benefit from a discount, please draw a ticket at the car park entrance and do not use your credit card! With the ticket you validated at Wiener Staatsoper you can then readily use your credit card or cash to pay at the ticket machines. The ticket machines accept coins and bills up to € 50. For every hour in excess of 8 hours, the standard rate will be charged on an hourly basis.
