Frédéric Antoun

Frédéric Antoun was born in Quebec and studied at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia. Operatic performances include Belmonte in »Die Entführung aus dem Serail« and Rinuccio in »Gianni Schicci« and Thespis in »Platée« (Opéra de Paris), Tonio in »La Fille du régiment« (Royal Opera House and Opera de Lausanne), Nadir in »Les Pêcheurs de perles« (Opernhaus Zürich), Laërte in »Hamlet« at the Theater an der Wien, Fenton in »Falstaff« (Royal Opera House) Cendrillon at La Monnaie Brussels, Tamino in »Die Zauberflöte« (Opera de Quebec), Ferrando in »Così fan tutte« (Opéra de Marseille, Opéra de Paris and Bayerische Staatsoper), and Cassio in »Otello« at the Royal Opera House under Antonio Pappano. He made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Raul in »The Exterminating Angel«. He has appeared with the Orchestre de Paris, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, New York Philharmonic, San Francisco, Montréal, Toronto and Denver Symphony orchestras, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre National de France, New York City Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Opéra de Montréal, Florida Grand Opera and festivals including the Québec Opera Festival and Charleston Festival.

Recent engagements include Pylade in »Iphigenie en Tauride« for Opernhaus Zürich, Cassio in »Otello« at Opéra de Paris and at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in Japan, Des Grieux in »Manon« at Opéra Comique and his first Edgardo in »Lucia di Lammermoor« for the Opéra de Montréal and his first Alfredo in »La traviata« for Covent Garden.
