The operas of Mozart and Da Ponte are considered by many to be the be-all and end-all of music. At the Vienna State Opera, too, their works occupy an extremely important place in the repertoire and are among the most frequently performed pieces of all. Part of this cycle are the new productions of Don Giovanni, Le nozze di Figaro and Così fan tutte, the new production of which will conclude the current, much-acclaimed Mozart-Da Ponte cycle in June 2024.
