The Norwegian soprano, Lise Davidsen, one of THE most sought-after international interpreters of Richard Wagner, whose voice will shape the upcoming years, will give a solo concert at the State Opera on 28 September.

The media has already spoken about her as a »flooding giant voice« (Die Welt) and as the »long-awaited voice in a million« (Telegraph). She is celebrating overwhelming success worldwide at all opera houses, including the Royal Opera House London, the Metropolitan Opera New York, and the Opéra Garnier Paris. In the Vienna State Opera, Davidsen was recently seen as Sieglinde in Die Walküre, as Ellen Orford in Peter Grimes, and as Ariadne in the title role of Ariadne auf Naxos.

Lise Davidsen has prepared a diverse program that includes works by Edvard Grieg, Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, Jean Sibelius, Richard Wagner, Franz Schubert, Ludwig van Beethoven, Emmerich Kálmán, and Frederick Loewe.
