With the »Der Barbier von Sevilla«, Gioachino Rossini created a masterpiece that has touched, entertained, and thrilled audiences since ages. In the 2023/24 season, the Vienna State Opera will again present “Der Barbier für Kinder”, which celebrated its premiere in May 2021: sung in German, performed on the stage of Vienna State Opera. Here, actor Daniel Ogris performing the servant Ambrogio leads us through the one-hour, abridged plot, in which we experience the story of the hairdresser Figaro, who tricks the old Dr Bartolo and brings together the young lovers Almaviva and Rosina. The opera will be performed by ensemble singers and members of the opera studio.
