Founded in 2020, the Opera Studio is already an indispensable part of the Vienna State Opera. The two-year program aims to introduce young, outstanding singers to the challenges of the profession of an opera singer in a targeted and practical way.
From the 2026/27 season, the internationally successful baritone KS Adrian Eröd will take over as Artistic Director of the training program.
Young singers who have completed their vocal training and were born after January 1, 1996 can apply for the new Opera Studio cohort for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons from May 1.
Applications can only be submitted via the official online form; submissions by email cannot be considered.
The application deadline is June 30, 2025.
