The Norwegian soprano Lise Davidsen rose to international prominence in 2015 as the winner of several major competitions (Operalia, Queen Sonja, and Hans Gábor Belvedere). This led to triumphant debuts at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Vienna, Bavarian, and Berlin State Operas, as well as at festivals in Aix-en-Provence, Bayreuth, and Glyndebourne – venues to which she regularly returns. She also appeared at the Last Night of the Proms 2022 with the BBC, performing on stage at the Royal Albert Hall.

Most recently, Lise Davidsen performed Elisabeth (Tannhäuser) at the Liceu in Barcelona and the Salzburg Easter Festival, Leonora (La forza del destino) at Teatro Real in Madrid, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and Müpa in Budapest, Jenůfa at the Lyric Opera in Chicago, Lisa (Pique Dame) and Giorgetta (Il tabarro) at the Bavarian State Opera, as well as Salome at the Paris Opéra.

Her current engagements include Tosca in Vienna, New York, and Munich; Sieglinde in London, Bayreuth, and Vienna; and the Marschallin in Vienna.
