Just as for the Opera Ball itself, the demand for tickets for the dress rehearsal of the Opera Ball has risen sharply in recent years.
As we are not allowed to exceed a maximum number of guests due to official regulations, we are unfortunately unable to meet all the demand.
Tickets for the dress rehearsal were therefore sold by raffle - as with tickets for the Opera Ball itself.
From November 11th, 11:11 am, until November 18th, 11:59 pm, you had the opportunity to register for this raffle via a form on our website or by using a form available in the box office of the Vienna State Opera.
The time at which you completed the registration form for the draw within the above-mentioned time period has no effect on the draw.
The opportunity to purchase tickets will be allocated at random from among all those taking part in the draw. The payment of the tickets has to be completed within 14 days of receiving a positive notification.
We will notify all persons selected in this way by December 12th at the latest. If you have not heard from us by December 12th, the opportunity to purchase tickets for the dress rehearsal of the Opera Ball 2026 could not be offered to you.
All natural persons aged 18 or over are eligible to participate.
Participation using third-party or false identities is not permitted. Employees of the Bundestheater are excluded from participation. Each e-mail address and associated customer number will only be entered into the raffle once; duplicate orders will be excluded from the raffle. In the event of a violation of these terms and conditions or the provision of false information, we reserve the right to exclude such individuals from the raffle.
This also applies to individuals who use unauthorized aids or otherwise gain advantages through manipulation. In such cases, tickets may be withdrawn and put back on sale if necessary.
Finally, we reserve the right to make changes and additions to the raffle without prior notice, or to cancel the raffle entirely. This applies in particular in the event of force majeure or if the raffle cannot be conducted or continued for organizational, technical, or legal reasons.
Tickets for the dress rehearsal of the Vienna Opera Ball are sold by the Vienna State Opera exclusively directly to attendees of the dress rehearsal of the Vienna Opera Ball. Commercial resale of tickets and any transfer of tickets are only permitted with the written consent of the Vienna State Opera.
Orders from tour operators or commercial resellers will not be considered; any tickets allocated to them may be cancelled.
The use of tickets for competitions, raffles, tombolas, etc. is not permitted without the prior written consent of the Vienna State Opera.
For each registration a maximum of 4 tickets can be requested.
