These are the new engagements at the Vienna State Ballet

With the appointment of Alessandra Ferri as ballet director, the new season at the Vienna State Ballet brings fresh energy and movement to the…

In addition to the established dancers, Alessandra Ferri has been able to recruit some of the best international artists for the company. Some of them are not unfamiliar faces in Vienna.

The ensemble is enriched by the Swiss-born Laura Fernandez Gromova, the two Americans Cassandra Trenary and Madison Young - who was already a member of the Vienna State Ballet from 2017-2019 and was soon promoted to principal dancer. The Brazilian Victor Caixeta, the Portuguese António Casalinho, the Italian Alessandro Frola and the Japanese Kentaro Mitsumori strengthen the principal dancers.

The new soloists include the Portuguese Margarita Fernandes and the Italian Rosa Pierro - the latter has already appeared on stage at the Haus am Ring as a member of the youth company of the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy - as well as the Ukrainian Vladyslav Bosenko.

The two Italians Alessandro Cavallo and Rinaldo Venuti - who received his training at the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy, among others - have been engaged as semi-soloists.

The following were accepted into the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet: Francesca Cesaro, Chloe Colter, Milda Luckuté, Alice McArthur, Yo Nakajima and Lars Philipp Gramlich. Ariel Daley, Lena Dobija, Alex Martelli and Laurids Seidel from the Ballet Academy and the Youth Company of the Vienna State Opera joined the ensemble.

A warm welcome to all new members and many wonderful stage moments!
