Matinee of »Iolanta«

What is Iolanta about? What makes the score so appealing? And how do the singers see the characters they portray? All questions that were answered at the Iolanta introductory matinee! State Opera Director Bogdan Roščić welcomed the conductor of the new production, Tugan Sokhiev, the director Evgeny Titov, Sonya Yoncheva, Dmytro Popov and Boris Pinkhasovich as well as other singers from the premiere. Once again, there were numerous musical contributions in addition to discussions and lots of interesting facts about Tchaikovsky, his Iolanta and the new production.
