Yo Nakajima

The Japanese Yo Nakajima trained at the Académie Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo from 2018 to 2022. After graduating, she joined the Semperoper Ballet in 2022. She has danced in works by Frederick Ashton, George Balanchine, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, David Dawson, William Forsythe, Johan Inger, Jean Christophe Maillot, Twyla Tharp and Aaron Watkin, among others. 

Her awards include first prizes at the National Dance Competition, Japan (2016), NBA – National Ballet Competition, Japan (2018), All Japan Ballet Competition (2017) and the semi-finals of the Youth American Grand Prix, Junior Classical (2017 & 2018).

From the 2025/26 season, Yo Nakajima will be a member of the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet.
