Valery Ovsyanikov

VALERY OVSYANIKOV was born in Moscow. After finishing his studies at St. Petersburg Conservatory with Viktor Fedotov, he was engaged by Mariinsky Theatre. In that function, and as musical director of Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and guest conductor of Royal Ballet Covent Garden, Swedish Royal Ballet Stockholm, Finnish National Ballet and Bavarian State Ballet, he has not only acquired a large repertoire, but also established a reputation as a ballet specialist.
