Ruth Iniesta

Recent engagements of the award-winning Zaragoza-born Spanish soprano RUTH INIESTA include the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) and Musetta (La bohème) in Bologna, Madama Cortese and Corinna (Il viaggio a Reims) respectively. Corinna (Il viaggio a Reims) at the Liceu in Barcelona, in Valencia and at the Wiener Musikverein, Gilda (Rigoletto) in Palermo, at the Maggio musicale in Florence and in Turin, Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) in Palma de Mallorca, Nannetta (Falstaff) at Madrid's Teatro Real, Liù in Turandot, Micaëla in Carmen and Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Arena in Verona, Micaëla in Trieste, Elvira (I puritani) in Palermo and La rondine in Naples. Future appearances will take the young singer to Madrid as Gilda, to Marseille in La traviata, to Valencia in Don Giovanni, to Barcelona in Gianni Schicchi and to London in La bohème. Ruth Iniesta is also successful in numerous zarzuelas as well as on the concert podium. She first studied ballet and piano and then singing at the Madrid Conservatory.
