Rosie Aldridge

Mezzo-soprano ROSIE ALDRIDGE studied at the Benjamin Britten International Opera School at the Royal College of Music and was a Jerwood Young Artist of the Glyndebourne Festival. She made her opera debut at the Glyndebourne Festival in Macbeth. Further engagements so far include Blumenmädchen (Parsifal) at the Teatro Real in Madrid, 3. Dame (Zauberflöte) and Axinja (Lady Macbeth von Mzensk) at the ENO, Ruth in Sullivan´s The Pirates of Penzance at the Scottish Opera. At the London Handel Festival she impersonated Eduige (Rodelinda), Cleone (Alessandro), Dorinda (Il pastor fido), with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic she sang Mrs. Peachum (Beggar’s Opera). Furthermore, she appeared as Florence Pike (Albert Herring) and Mathilde (Ottone) with the English Touring Opera and as Mother Goose (Rake’s Progress) at the British Young Opera. In 2016/2017, she made her debut at the ROH Covent Garden in Schostakowitsch´s Die Nase. She frequently appears as a concert singer. With the season 2016/2017, she is ensemble member of the Wiener Staatsoper.
