KS Peter Seiffert

KS Peter Seiffert studied at the Musikhochschule Dusseldorf. He was first engaged at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. As awardee Deutsche Musikrat competition, engagements in the whole of Europe followed. His engagement at the Deutschen Oper Berlin, where he was heard as Lohengrin, was the start of his international career. Since then, the tenor is a guest at all the important music centres, where he sang all the roles of his repertoire, especially Parsifal, Florestan, Tannhäuser, Tristan, Otello, Siegmund and Lohengrin. In 1992 he was appointed a Bayerische Kammersänger and in 2013 an Austrian Kammersänger. Numerous recordings with the most important conductors of our time with awards like Echo-Klassik „Sänger des Jahres 1999“, Grand Prix du Disque – Grammy Award document his extraordinary achievements. At the Wiener Staatsoper, KS Peter Seiffert gave his debut in 1984 as Matteo (Arabella) and has since also sung (partly also in new productions) as Hans, Tamino, Turiddu, Florestan, Erik, Max, Lohengrin, Parsifal, Stolzig, Tristan, Otello, Tannhäuser and Siegmund. Aside from this, he often accompanies the Wiener Staatsoper at guest performances.
