Lars Philipp Gramlich

Lars Philipp Gramlich, born in Speyer, Germany, received his dance training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim under the direction of Birgit Keil and later Agnès Noltenius. During his studies, he was awarded a scholarship from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Berlin and performed works by renowned choreographers such as William Forsythe, Glen Tetley, Bridget Breiner, Kinsun Chan, Ken Ossala, Terence Kohler and Jon Ole Olstad.

In the 2022/23 season, he joined the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe as an apprentice under the artistic direction of Bridget Breiner. In the following 2023/24 season, he was engaged as a trainee of the Bavarian State Ballet with the Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich under Ivan Liška. With the Bavarian State Ballet, he danced in productions such as Onegin and Romeo and Juliet (John Cranko), Cinderella and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (Christopher Wheeldon), Illusions – like Swan Lake (John Neumeier), La Bayadère (Patrice Bart), La Sylphide (Pierre Lacotte) as well as The Rite of Spring (Pina Bausch).

As a member of the Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich, he performed in significant works such as Devil’s Kitchen and All Long Dem Day (Marco Goecke), Bach Suite 3 (John Neumeier), Songs of a Wayfarer (Jiří Kylián), The Triadic Ballet (Gerhard Bohner), Night on Bald Mountain (Eric Gauthier) and In the Forest (Xin Peng Wang).

Starting with the 2025/26 season, Lars Philipp Gramlich will join the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet.
