Julie Boulianne
During her studies at the Julliard School in New York, Julie Boulianne began her professional career as an opera singer overseas at the Opéra Comique, in Toulon, Avignon, Reims, Tours and Marseille. She is a recurring guest at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where she sang Siébel in Faust, Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette, Diane in Iphigénie en Tauride, Der Küchenjunge in Rusalka, Ascanio in Les Troyens and the title role in Massenet’s Cendrillon. Julie Boulianne has appeared at many of today’s leading opera houses and festivals, among others the Royal Opera House London, the Vienna State Opera, the Paris and Zurich Opera, the Dutch National Opera, the Theater an der Wien, Opéra National du Rhin, and the festivals in Aix-en-Provence, Glyndebourne and at the BBC Proms. Her repertoire includes roles such as Dorabella in Così fan tutte, Marguerite in La damnation de Faust by Héctor Berlioz, Annio in La clemenza di Tito and Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia. Julie Boulianne made her debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2022 as Charlotte in Massenet’s Werther. This season she can be seen here as Mère Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites.
