Jorge Gallardo
Born in Chile, Jorge Gallardo initially studied architecture at the Catholic University before graduating in Fine Arts from the University of Santiago. He began his career as a stage and costume designer for Thierry Malandain's ballet L'Amour sorcier at the Ballet du Nord. He then moved to Miami, where he built a successful career in the United States.
He lived in Santiago de Chile for many years, working for renowned companies such as the Ballet Théâtre Français de Nancy under Patrick Dupont, the American Ballet Theatre, the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, the Royal Swedish Ballet, the Miami City Ballet, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Ballet Florida and the San Francisco Ballet.
The artist passed away on 9 November 2025.
