Jean Teitgen
Following a degree in economics, Jean Teitgen began his musical training at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique in Paris, where he graduated with honors. His extensive repertoire spans from the Baroque to 20th-century music, with a preference for Italian repertoire (Aida, Simon Boccanegra, Don Carlo, Trovatore, Rigoletto, Lucia di Lammermoor, Turandot, La Gioconda) and French repertoire (La Muette de Portici, Hamlet, Pelléas et Mélisande, Samson et Dalila, Roméo et Juliette, Les Capulet et les Montaigu, Manon).
Jean Teitgen has been a guest at numerous international stages. In recent years, he has performed at opera houses in Geneva, Florence, Marseille, Montpellier, Monte-Carlo, at the Théatre de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the Teatro Real Madrid, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Opéra National de Paris, to name a few. Recent engagements include performances at the Aix-en-Provence Festival (in Verdi's I due Foscari), his role debut as Prince Gremin in Eugen Onegin at the Théatre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Mignon in Liège, Platée, Les Capulet et les Montaigu, Hamlet, and Roméo et Juliette at the Opéra National de Paris, and his role debut as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte at the Théatre des Champs-Elysées in Paris.
In April 2023, Jean Teitgen performed in the Verdi Requiem at the Pariser Philharmonie. Future engagements include Pelléas et Melisande, La Vestale in Paris, his role debut as Daland in Der fliegende Holländer in Toulouse, and concerts featuring Ravel's L´heure espagnole at the Berlioz Festival in La Côte-Saint-André.
