Soprano Hannah-Theres Weigl has been a member of the Studio of the Vienna State Opera since the 2024/25 season, where she has already appeared on stage as Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Giannetta (L'elisir d'amore), Ida (Die Fledermaus) and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte). She also performed the role of ICH in the children's opera Sagt der Walfisch zum Thunfisch, which opened the new NEST theatre.

Her second season at the Vienna State Opera began with the OpernAir Gala for the season opening in the Burggarten, followed by her debut as Yniold (Pelléas et Mélisande).

In the summer of 2025, she participated in the Young Singers Project at the Salzburg Festival, where she played the leading role of the female D'Artagnan (Musketiere!) – the role she will also perform at NEST.

In Vienna, she has been heard as Gretel (Hänsel and Gretel) and Anna Reich (The Merry Wives of Windsor) at the Schönbrunn Palace Theatre. At the Theater für Niedersachsen, she sang Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Frasquita (Carmen) in 2022 and was already engaged at the Landestheater in Innsbruck during her studies there, where among other roles she sang Papagena (The Magic Flute).

She also performs regularly in concerts, most recently with the Camerata Salzburg and the Mozarteum Orchestra at the 2025 Salzburg Festival, with the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra at Christmas in Vienna 2024 at the Vienna Konzerthaus, and with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. In May 2024, she made her debut at the Gluck Festival in the Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth.

She is currently completing her education with a master's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) in the class of Prof. KS Daniela Fally and has deepened her song interpretation with Prof. KS Angelika Kirchschlager. Previously, she graduated with distinction from the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck under Prof. Mag. Maria Erlacher-Forster with a diploma in singing and, in the same year, a Bachelor of Arts in cooperation with the mdw. Her academic training was rounded off with a degree in music business at the renowned Berklee College of Music (USA).
