Eleonora Buratto
The Italian soprano ELEONORA BURATTO was born in Mantua. She studied in her hometown at the Lucio Campiani Conservatory and with Luciano Pavarotti. Today Eleonora Buratto sings regularly in internationally renowned opera houses and concert halls around the world. Her repertoire includes Countess Almaviva in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, Corinna in Il viaggio a Reims by Gioachino Rossini, Norina in Don Pasquale by Gaetano Donizetti, Liù in Giacomo Puccini's Turandot, the title role in Rusalka, Mimì in La bohème, Elettra in Idomeneo, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Desdemona in Otello and the title role in Aida. Performances have taken her to the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Teatro San Carlo, the Salzburg Festival, Paris, Madrid, Chicago, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, La Scala in Milan, Verona and the Bavarian State Opera. Eleonora Buratto made her debut at the Vienna State Opera as Countess Almaviva in Nozze di Figaro and also sang Amelia (Simon Boccanegra) and Alice (Falstaff).
