Daniel Behle

The singer and composer Daniel Behle was named “Singer of the Year” at the 2020 OPUS Klassik Awards for his recording of MoZart. His discography now includes 18 solo albums, along with several other award-winning recordings.

Equally successful in concert, song and opera, he made his highly acclaimed debut as Lohengrin in 2020. His repertoire ranges from baroque masterpieces and classical and romantic works to music of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Important operatic engagements in recent years have taken him to the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Dutch National Opera Amsterdam, Stuttgart, Zurich, the Vienna and Bavarian State Operas, the Semperoper in Dresden, and the Bayreuth Festival.

He recently returned to the Salzburg Festival as Tito, sang Belmonte at La Scala in Milan, Lohengrin and Idomeneo in Amsterdam, and Ferrando (Così fan tutte) at the Royal Opera House in London.

Current engagements include Ferrando at the Bavarian State Opera, Loge at the Bayreuth Festival, Soliman (Zaide) at the Salzburg Festival, and Erik in Monte Carlo.
