Catherine Trottmann

The mezzo soprano CATHERINE TROTTMANN completed her vocal studies in Paris at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris and won several prizes and awards. First engagements led her and lead her above all to the leading french stages, like the Paris Théâtre du Châtelet, the opera house in Lille, in Metz, the Opera in Lausanne, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, theFestival in Aix-en-Provence and in Avignon. In 2009, she performed for the first time in Moscow. Lied and concert performances have led her outside of France among others to New York. She has sung among others Siebel (Faust), Stubenmädchen (Boesmans‘ Reigen), Ramiro (La finta giardiniera), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel) as well as the Rose (Levinas‘ Le Petit Prince). Current performances are leading her to the Opera in Dijon (Zaida in Il turco in Italia) and the Opera in Lausanne (Zerline in Don Giovanni as well as Tisbe in La cenerentola). At the Wiener Staastoper, she gave her debut as Flora in La traviata and also sang here 1. Knappen in Parsifal. In 2014/2015, she was a scholar of Novomatic.
