Caroline Baas

Caroline Baas was born in Berlin in 1997 and grew up in Georgia, Berlin, South Korea and Indonesia. After graduating from high school in Berlin in 2015, she studied theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna (B.A. 2018) and gained experience in the independent scene during this time. In 2018, she began her acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar and has since performed in productions at the Reinhardt Seminar and the Burgtheater: in the world premiere of Jelinek's "Schwarzwasser" (directed by Robert Borgmann) at the Akademietheater as the Chorist and at the Burgtheater's Kasino as Elizabeth Bennet in "Pride and Prejudice* (*or so)". Lily Sykes' production was named Outstanding Production for Young Audiences at the Stella*21 Theatre Awards for Young Audiences and was nominated for Outstanding Acting. This season she is guest starring in three more productions at the Burgtheater. She plays Natalie in Lucy Kirkwood's "Mosquitos" at the Akademietheater and in David Greig's "Monster" at the Vestibule of the Burgtheater. At the Burgtheater's Casino, she has been performing since February in "Ode" by Thomas Melle, directed by András Dömötör.
