Bernhard Schir

The multiple award-winning Austrian actor Bernhard Schir comes from Innsbruck, studied at the Max Reinhardt Seminar and played his first leading roles at the Vienna Volkstheater while still a student. Otto Schenk then brought him to the Theater in der Josefstadt, where he found his first home. Engagements also took him to the Theater Basel and the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt. Since the 1990s, he has also worked for Austrian and German television, later adding a number of international films.
