Anna Shepelyeva

Anna Shepelyeva was born in Kiev. She received her education from 1994 to 2000 at the Ukrainian Ballet Academy and afterwards at the Ballet Conservatory St.Pölten in Austria where she passed the parity examination for the stage. From 2002 to 2005 she was a demi-soloist with the State Ballet Thüringen in Germany. Since 2005 she is a member of the Vienna State Ballet. Her repertory comprise roles such as Amor and Kitri’s friend in Rudolf Nureyev’s »Don Quixote«, Saracens Duo in Nureyev’s »Raymonda«, friend of the prince in Nureyev’s »Swan Lake« and Fairy, Pas de quatre and Little Red Riding Hood in Peter Wright‘s »The Sleeping Beauty«. Furthermore she was dancing in works by Frederick Ashton, George Balanchine, Maurice Béjart, Jiří Bubeníček, Edward Clug, John Cranko, Boris Eifman, Alexander Ekman, Natalia Horecna, Andrey Kaydanovskiy, Pierre Lacotte, Manuel Legris, Serge Lifar, András Lukács, Kenneth MacMillan, Vladimir Malakhov, Thierry Malandain, John Neumeier, Eno Peci, Daniel Proietto, Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp and Elena Tchernichova.
