
American heldentenor Clay Hilley is regarded as one of the most important representatives of his voice category on the international stage. He has appeared repeatedly at the Bayreuth Festival, the Bavarian and Hamburg State Operas, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the Baden-Baden Festival, the Edinburgh International Festival, and the Liceu in Barcelona – to name just a few.
His signature roles include Tristan, Parsifal, Siegfried, Tannhäuser, Florestan, Bacchus, and the Emperor.
Season highlights include his debut as Tannhäuser at the Vienna State Opera, his first appearance with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal performing Gurre-Lieder, as well as returns to the Deutsche Oper Berlin in the roles of Tannhäuser, Tristan, and the Emperor (Die Frau ohne Schatten).
