The young Hungarian mezzo-soprano and contralto Anna Kissjudit made her debut as Erda under Christian Thielemann in the new Ring Cycle at the Berlin State Opera, where she is a member of the ensemble.

Recent and upcoming debuts include appearances at the Hamburg State Opera (as Mrs. Quickly in Falstaff), the Teatre del Liceu (as La Cieca in La Gioconda), and the Bayreuth Festival (as Erda in Das Rheingold and Siegfried). She has also performed in concert with the Berlin Philharmonic.

In addition, she has sung Mary in Der fliegende Holländer at both the Norwegian National Opera and the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest. At the Berlin State Opera, she has appeared successfully in roles such as Ježibaba in a new production of Rusalka, Gaea in Daphne, Annina in Der Rosenkavalier, and the Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte.

On the concert stage, she has performed Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg and the Szeged Symphony Orchestra, as well as Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 under Thomas Guggeis with the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra. She sang Beethoven’s Missa solemnis with the Staatskapelle Berlin and Bruckner’s Te Deum at the Berlin Philharmonie under Daniel Barenboim. She also appeared at the Wagner Days in Müpa Budapest in Die Walküre under Adam Fischer.
