KS EDITA GRUBEROVA was born in Bratislava and made her debut in 1968 at the Opera house of his hometown as Rosina (Bar­biere di Siviglia). She first performed at the Wiener Staatsoper in February 1970 as the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute). She had her international breakthrough with the new production of Ariadne auf Naxos under Karl Böhm in 1976 as Zerbinetta. Since then, she is a guest at all the important international stages, among other at the Met, the Scala, the ROH Covent Garden, the Opéra National Paris, the Deutschen Oper Berlin, the Bayerischen Staatsoper, the Opernhaus Zürich, the Hamburgischen Staatsoper, the Teatro Comunale Florenz, the Liceu in Barcelona, the Salzburger Festspielen and at the Festival in Glyndebourne. At the Wiener Staatsoper, she has sung among others as Fiakermilli (Arabella), Oscar (Ballo in maschera), Rosina, Giulietta (Capuleti e i Montecchi), Norina (Don Pasquale), Adele (Fledermaus), Norma, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Lucia, Aminta (Schweigsame Frau), Manon, Maria Stuarda, Elvira (I puri­tani), Linda di Chamounix, Lucrezia Borgia and Elisabetta (Roberto Devereux). She is an Austrian chamber singer and an honorary member of the Wiener Staatsoper.​​​
