ZELJKO LUCIC was born in Serbia and made his debut performance in 1993 as Silvio (Pagliacci) in Novi Sad. In 1995 he transferred to the Belgrade National Theatre. In 1998 Željko Lučić became a member of the ensemble at the Frankfurt Opera. Performances have taken him to, amongst others, the Aix-en-Provence Festival, Amsterdam Opera, Covent Garden Opera in London, New Yorker Metropolitan Opera, Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Semper Opera House in Dresden, Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Scala, Milan and Bilbao. Most recently, he performed at the Metropolitan Opera as Rigoletto, Scarpia, Nabucco, Jochanaan, at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London as Conte di Luna, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago as Nabucco, at the Opéra National de Paris as Giorgio Germont, at Frankfurt Opera as Falstaff, at Zurich Opera House as Jago. Current engagements will take the singer to such places as Berlin, London, New York and Munich. Željko Lučić gave his debut performance at the Vienna State Opera in 2002 as Giorgio Germont and has since performed as Nabucco, Carlo (La forza del destino), Scarpia, Simon Boccanegra.
