
The conductor YANNICK NÉZET-SÉGUIN has been principal conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra since 2012, principal conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra since 2008 and became artistic director and principal conductor of the Orchestre Métropolitain (Montréal) in 2000. He made his debut in Europe in 2004 and was soon invited to numerous orchestras, for example to the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Bayerische Radio Symphonie Orchestra, the Wiener Philharmoniker, to the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Recent conductings have for example led him to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (Der fliegende Holländer), the New York Met (Rusalka, La traviata, Don Carlo, Otello), the Opera Philadelphia (Salome), to Baden-Baden (Entführung), L'Opéra de Montréal (Elektra). Further performances have led him to La Scala in Milan, the Salzburger Festspiele and the De Niederlande Opera. He made his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper in 2014 and conducted Wagner´s Der fliegende Holländer.
