KS Anna Netrebko
ANNA NETREBKO was born in Krasnodar and studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Since her debut as Donna Anna at the Salzburger Festspiele in 2002, she is among the most famous artists of her generation. Engagements lead her to all renowned opera houses and concert halls around the world. Up to now, she has triumphed as (excerpt) Violetta (La traviata), Manon, Iolanta, Donna Anna, Elsa (Lohengrin), Susanna (Nozze di Figaro), Amina (La sonnambula), Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Tatjana (Eugen Onegin), Lucia di Lammermoor, Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Gilda (Rigoletto), Musetta and Mimì (La Bohème), Giovanna d’Arco, Elvira (I puritani) and Norina (Don Pasquale). In 2008, she was awarded the title “Musician of the Year” by Musical America, the Classical BRIT Award, she was listed as one of the 100 most influential people of the world and has received numerous ECHO classic prizes. She made her debut at the Wiener Staatsoper in April 2003 as Violetta and has since then also sung Donna Anna, Mimì, Adina, Micaëla, Manon Lescaut, Lucia di Lammermoor, Tatjana, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, Amina as well as the title role in Manon and Anna Bolena.
