Bass singer ROBERTO TAGLIAVINI was born in Parma. In 2005 he made his debut at the Teatro Regio in Parma in Gluck´s Alceste. Soon he sang at Europe´s important opera houses – with a repertoire covering Mozart to Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti to Verdi. Performances include for example Lord Sidney (Il viaggio a Reims) as well as König and Ramfis (Aida) at La Scala in Milan, Attila in St. Petersburg, Conte d’Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) in Toulon, Raimondo (Lucia di Lammermoor) in Genoa, Lord Walton (I puritani) in Madrid, Ferrando (Il trovatore) and Attila in the Arena di Verona, Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia) in Palermo and Zurich, Uberto (La serva padrona) in Naples, König in Aida at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) in Sevilla and Frère Laurent (Roméo et Juliette) in Madrid and Bilbao, Timur (Turandot) in Rome.
Current engagements for example include Le Nozze di Figaro and Macbeth in Los Angeles, Otello (Rossini) at Teatro alla Scala, Aida and Il barbiere di Siviglia at Arena di Verona, Il trovatore in Amsterdam and Paris, Lucia di Lammermoor in Liege, La Bohème at Metropolitan Opera in New York, I Puritani and I due Foscari in Madrid.
