Lydia Rathkolb

Soprano LYDIA RATHKOLB studied vocal arts in Vienna and Milan. She studied media communiations and musicology at the Universität Wien. She for example performed at the opera house Rousse as Lucia di Lammermoor and Rosina in Rossini´s Barbiere di Siviglia, in Savonlinna as Königin der Nacht (Zauberflöte), at the opera house in Brno as Violetta, in Lisbon as Rosalinde, in Bregenz as Konstanze (Entführung), as Pamina, Norina, Olympia and Antonia among others in Basel, Linz, Hagen and Heidelberg, as well as 2013 in the Opera de Nice. Concerts have led her to the New York Lincoln Centre/Avery Fisher Hall and the Kennedy Center Washington, to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Carinthischen Sommer and in the Musikverein and Wiener Konzerthaus. At the Wiener Staastoper, she gave her debut in 1997 as 1. Dame (Zauberflöte) and also sang among others Najade, Marzellina, Ida, Poussette, Schopfhenne (Das schlaue Füchslein), Susanna (Chowanschtschina), Erste nackte Jungfer, Ada, Königin.
