The australian mezzo soprano MARGARET PLUMMER completed her singing studies at the Australian National University’s School of Music (Jazz singing) and at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She is a multiple prize-winner of opera competitions and in 2005 vitied the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover. For a while, she was a member of the Choir of Opera Australia, before she began her solo career. Following this were performances as a soloist among others at the Opera Australia, Pinchgut Opera, the Pacific Opera, Harbour City Opera and the Oz Opera. In the 2015/2016 season, the young artist was a scholar of the Opera Foundation Australia. Margaret Plummer sang among others Dorabella in Così fan tutte at the Pacific Opera and
Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel at the OzOpera School‘s Company. At the Opera Australia, she sang in Dido and Aeneas, in Rosenkavalier and in Le nozze di Figaro. She sang the Knusperhexe in Hänsel and Gretel with the Sydney Symphony, Charlotte in Werther at the Lyric Opera of Melbourne, Phoebe in Castor und Pollux at the Pinchgut Opera. At the Wiener Staatsoper, she gave her debut as Tebaldo in Don Carlo and also sang among others Waltraute (Walküre), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel), Anton (Pünktchen und Anton, Kinderoper), Giovanna (Rigoletto), Küchenjunge (Rusalka).
