Jacquelyn Wagner
With her »radiant appearance«, »beguiling timbre«, a »fabulous technique« and »impeccable diction« (Neue Zürcher Zeitung), JACQUELYN WAGNER is considered one of the most sought-after and successful sopranos of the lyric and youthful dramatic soprano genres. The multiple competition winner and scholarship holder was born near Detroit into a family of musicians and was an ensemble member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin before launching her successful world career, which regularly takes her to the most important stages: Milan's La Scala, Bavarian State Opera, Salzburg Easter Festival, Paris Opera, Festival Aix-en-Provence, Dutch National Opera, Semper Opera, Hamburg State Opera, Zurich Opera, New York's Carnegie Hall. In 2022/23 the singer will make several house debuts: at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago she will sing her first Magda in La rondine, at the Staatsoper Stuttgart Gräfin (Le nozze di Figaro) and at the Teatro Regio Turin Donna Anna (Don Giovanni). She also returns to the Theater an der Wien as Agathe (Der Freischütz) and can be heard in this role at the Zurich Opera House. On the concert platform, Jacquelyn Wagner appears with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Vasily Petrenko, and with the Gewandhaus Orchestra and Andris Nelsons in Mahler's 8th Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall. As Leonore in Fidelio she can be heard in concert at the Tonhalle Zurich with the Tonhalle Orchestra and Paavo Järvi.
