After studying musicology, GAELLE ARQUEZ won the gold medal in the singing competition of the Paris Conservatory in 2009. Apart from her international concert performances, her first successful appearances included performances at the Théâtre Royal de Wallonie in Liège and at the Grand Théâtre de Reims. After that, opera appearances followed in Massenet´s Cendrillon (Opéra de Lille), in Don Giovanni, Falstaff, L‘incoronazione di Poppea (Paris Opera), Idomeneo (Theater an der Wien), Castor et Pollux (Dijon). Recently, she sang at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Falstaff as Meg Page, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in the title role in La belle Hélène, at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse and at the Komische Oper Berlin as Phébé in Castor et Pollux, at the Théâtre de la Monnaie as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel as well as at the Oper Frankfurt as Nerone in L‘incoronazione di Poppea and as Zenobia in Radamisto.
Future engagements for example include performances at the Paris Opera, at the Theater an der Wien as well as at the Opera Frankfurt (amongst others the title role in Carmen, the female title role in Pelléas et Mélisande and the title role in Serse).
