STUART SKELTON studied in his hometown Sydney and at University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. He has since had engagements at opera houses in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Madrid, Paris, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Baden-Baden and Dresden, as well as at festivals in Edinburgh and Lucerne. His repertoire encompasses the title roles in Lohengrin, Rienzi, Parsifal, Otello and Peter Grimes, alongside Tristan (Tristan und Isolde), Florestan (Fidelio), Erik (Der fliegende Holländer), Laca Klemen (Jenufa), Emperor (Die Frau ohne Schatten), Bacchus (Ariadne auf Naxos), Prince (Rusalka), Max (Der Freischütz), Canio (Pagliacci), Hermann (Pique Dame) and others. He has recently sung Otello in Baden-Baden and at the New York Met, Siegmund at the New York Met and at Müpa in Budapest, Florestan at Teatro alla Scala, as well as Peter Grimes and Tristan in Australia. Stuart Skelton’s upcoming performances include Tristan in Amsterdam and Lucerne, Siegmund in Amsterdam and at Teatro Real in Madrid, and Peter Grimes in Oslo. At Vienna State Opera, he has so far sung Erik and Florestan.
