The repertoire of Irish mezzo soprano TARA ERRAUGHT, who graduated from Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, encompasses roles in operas ranging from Mozart, Rossini, Bellini, Puccini and Verdi to Dvořák, Gounod and Strauss, as well as works by contemporary composers. Tara Erraught has taken part in numerous premieres in recent years, has made her first appearance in major roles on various stages, and she has appeared on concert stages in the US, Canada, Denmark, France, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Germany, England and elsewhere. Recent seasons’ artistic highlights include her first performance at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona (as Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette) and at Metropolitan Opera New York (as Nicklausse/Muse in Offenbach‘s Les Contes d’Hoffmann and as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel), her performances as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at the Irish National Opera and Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia at Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, as well as appearances as Angelina, Despina, Hänsel and Carlotta in Die schweigsame Frau at Bayerische Staatsoper. Current and upcoming engagements will be taking her to Munich, Berlin and New York. At Vienna State Opera, she made her debut as Angelina, and she has also sung Rosina.
