German soprano HANNA-ELISABETH MÜLLER studied with Rudolf Piernay and continues to work closely with him. She has further honed her craft in master classes with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Julia Várady, Elly Ameling and Thomas Hampson, and she has won multiple awards. From 2012 to 2016, she was an ensemble member at Bayerische Staatsoper, where she portrayed Pamina, Zerlina, Susanna, Servilia, Gretel, Zdenka, Infanta Donna Clara (Der Zwerg) and others. In 2014, she sang Zdenka at Salzburg Easter Festival and in Dresden. In 2015, she made her debut as Sophie in Rosenkavalier in Amsterdam, in 2017 as Marzelline at the New York Met and Donna Anna at Teatro alla Scala, and in 2018 as Ilia in Zurich. She has since been returning to these stages regularly. Her current and upcoming performances include Zdenka, Eva, Marzelline and Donna Anna at Bayerische Staatsoper, Sandrina (La finta giardiniera) at Teatro alla Scala, Zdenka at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Susanna at the New York Met, Donna Anna at Hamburgische Staatsoper and Marzelline at Baden-Baden Easter Festival.
