Keisuke Nejime

The Japanese Keisuke Nejime started his ballet training in Matsuyama (Japan). Further education he received at the Conservatory of the University of the City Vienna (2003-2009) and at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera (2009-2011) with teachers such as Prof. Karl Musil, Prof. Evelyn Téri, Jolantha Seyfried, Simona Noja and Boris Nebyla. In the 2011/12 season he was a member of the Theaterclass of the Vienna State Ballet. Since the 2012/13 season he is dancing with the Vienna State Ballet. His large repertoire comprises the title role in the world premiere of Vesna Orlićʼs »Peter Pan«, Young Man in Orlićʼs »Carmina Burana«, Anastasie (stepsister) in Thierry Malandainʼs »Cendrillon«, The Death in Malandainʼs »Don Juan«, Mercutio in Davide Bombanaʼs »Roméo et Juliette«, Japanese Jury in Maurice Béjartʼs »Le Concours«, Mouse in Lotte de Beer's & Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker« and parts in »Max und Moritz« by Ferenc Barbay & Michael Kropf, Andrey Kaydanovskiyʼs »The ugly Duckling«, Trevor Haydenʼs »Double Date«, Paul Taylorʼs »Dandelion Wine« as well as in Martin Schläpfer's »4«, »Sinfonie Nr. 15«, »The Seasons«, »Ein Deutsches Requiem« and »Drittes Klavierkonzert«. Furthermore, he performed in several musicals, operettas and operas at the Volksoper Wien and operas at the Vienna State Opera. His awards comprise 3rd Prizes at the WienWeltWettbewerb 2014, the Vienna International Ballet Experience 2016 (VIBE) and the Promotion Prize of the Ballettclub Wiener Staatsoper & Volksoper 2020.
