EMMANUELLE HAÏM is internationally acclaimed as a performer and champion of the Baroque repertoire. After working as assistant to William Christie and Simon Rattle, she formed her own ensemble, Le Concert d‘Astrée, in 2000, which quickly established an international reputation. She is a regular guest at Glyndebourne Festival, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Chicago Lyric Opera, Opéra de Dijon, Opéra de Lille, Theater an der Wien and other leading opera companies. Her plan for the 2018/2019 season includes new productions of Handel’s Rodelinda in Lille and Rameau’s Les Boréades in Dijon. She is planning to tour Europe with a programme dedicated to Handel by the title Desperate Lovers. She also leads a number of important orchestras such as Berliner Philharmoniker and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Recently she conducted in Dijon (Castor et Pollux, Mitridate, Pygmalion, Amour et Psyché), Lille (Amour et Psyché, Idomeneo, Xerse, Così fan tutte), at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (Mitridate, Il ritorno d‘Ulisse in patria, Alcina), Festival d‘Aix en Provence (Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno), Theater an der Wien (Xerse).
