Gregory Kunde

American tenor GREGORY KUNDE regularly sings at the world’s leading opera houses. His accomplishments on stage have earned him numerous awards, most recently “Male Singer of the Year” at the International Opera Awards 2016. Celebrated for his interpretations of French and Italian belcanto roles towards the beginning of his career, Kunde has since established himself as a highly respected performer of Verdi and dramatic roles. He has sung Verdi’s Otello at La Fenice, in Valencia, Genoa, Salerno, Florence, Turin, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Seoul and São Paulo. His appearances at Royal Opera House Covent Garden (Otello, Manrico), Teatro Real in Madrid (Otello, Pollione), Teatro Regio di Torino (Samson, Radames, Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut), in Rome (Andrea Chénier), at Teatro alla Scala (Enée), Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía Valencia (Peter Grimes), Deutsche Oper Berlin (Jean), Semperoper (Alvaro), Teatre del Liceu Barcelona (Des Grieux) and in Verona (Calaf, Radames) are among the highlights of his career. At Vienna State Opera, he has sung Elvino, Arrigo, Arturo and Arnold.
