Anna Caterina Antonacci

ANNA CATERINA ANTONACCI was born in Ferrara and studied at the Conservatorio Giovanni Battista Martini in Bologna. She has won Voci Verdiane, the Maria Callas Grand Prix, the Luciano Pavarotti international singing competition and others. She made her debut as Rosina in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia in Arezzo, launching an international career. She performed at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Teatro Communale in Bologna, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Teatro dell’ Opera in Rome, San Francisco Opera, Glyndebourne Festival, Bayerische Staatsoper, in Paris and other epicentres of music. Current projects range from concerts in Paris, Lucerne, Madrid, Brussels and London to performances as Charlotte in Valencia and Barcelona, Elle (La Voix humaine) in Bologna, San Francisco, Turin and Liège, Susanna (Sancta Susanna) in Paris, Cassandre (Les Troyens) at the San Francisco Opera, Carmen in Turin, Chimène (Le Cid) in Paris and Iphigénie (Iphigénie en Tauride) in Hamburg. She had her Vienna State Opera debut in 1999, when she sang Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni at Theater an der Wien.
