Nicola Barbarossa

Nicola Barbarossa was born in Mykolaiv (Ukraine). He was educated at the Scuola di Ballo del Teatro alla Scala where he was dancing amongst others Jiří Kylián’s »Un Ballo«. In 2017 he was employed by the Vienna State Ballet. His most important role so far has been the little shepherd in Manuel Legris’ »Sylvia«. Furthermore, he has been dancing in George Balanchine’s »Symphonie in C« and «Jewels« (Rubies), Nureyev‘s »The Nutcracker«, »Raymonda« and »Swan Lake«, Elena Tchernichova’s »Giselle«, John Cranko’s »Onegin«, Jerome Robbins’ »The Concert«, Edward Clug’s »Peer Gynt« and William Forsythe’s »Artifact Suite«.
