
The Tenor RAINER TROST hails from Stuttgart, studied in Munich and has sung at the greatest opera houses worldwide, including Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Paris Opera, Metropolitan Opera in New York at the Salzburg Festival and Maggio Musicale Florence, at the Munich Opera Festival, at the Semperoper in Dresden, in Tokyo, Toulouse, Valencia, San Diego, Athens, Amsterdam and Leipzig. Roles he has sung include Alfred (Fledermaus), Alfonso (Alfonso und Estrella), Fenton (Falstaff), Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Belmonte (Entführung), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Flamand (Capriccio), Tamino (Zauberflöte), David (Meistersinger), Jaquino (Fidelio), Leukippos (Daphne), Calogero (La grande magia), Orsino (Was ihr wollt), Titus (La clemenza di Tito), Conte d’Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Pylades (Iphigénie en Tauride). Rainer Trost also performs regularly on the international stage as a concert soloist. He made his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper in 1998 as Belmonte and has since sung Ferrando, Alfred, Tamino, Don Ottavio and Fenton.
