The Russian soprano EKATERINA SIURINA studied in Moscow and has won numerous international competitions. Still a student, she gave her debut performance in 1999 as Gilda. Numerous celebrated performances followed soon after, including performances at the Savonlinna Festival, at the Berlin and Hamburg State Opera and in Monte Carlo and Montpellier. Soon after, the singer received invitations from ROH Covent Garden, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Opéra Garnier Paris. Ekaterina Siurina made her Italian debut as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) with La Scala, Milan. Following this, she performed at the Salzburg Festival and with Opéra Bastille in Paris. In 2006 her debut at the Met was a resounding success and as a result, she returned the following year. Today, she is a well-received guest performer on the major opera stages worldwide. Future engagements include Mimì (La Bohème) in London and Adina in Munich und Pittsburgh. Ekaterina Siurina gave her debut performance at the Vienna State Opera in 2003 as Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann and has since sung the roles of Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Amina (La sonnambula) and Gilda.
