Kristina Ermolenok

Kristina Ermolenok was born in Riga (Latvia). She received her education in different Ballet Schools in her home country and from 2004 to 2010 in the Riga Choreography School with Zane Lieldidza-Kolbina and Ludmila Strelnikova-Vikanova. In 2008 she has won the 1st Prize at the Riga Choreography School Ballet Variation Competition in Riga and got a scholarship for the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera where she has been studying with Brigitte Stadler and Karen Henry (2010-2012). After her graduation she has been a member of the Theaterclass of the Ballet Academy (2012-2014). In 2014 she joined the Vienna State Ballet. First experiences on stage she gained already from 2005 to 2010 with the Latvian National Opera in ballets such as »Swan Lake«, »The Nutcracker« or »Sleeping Beauty« and a solo role in »Pigeon« by Regina Kaupuza. In 2008 she participated in performances of the Gregory Hancock Dance Theater (USA). In addition, she did workshops with I. Cistjakova and M. Gribanova (St. Petersburg, Russia) and Kaoru Jinushi (Japan). Her Viennese repertoire comprises Vesna Orlić’s »Carmina Burana«, »Tausendundeine Nacht« and »Peter Pan« (Nursemaid), András Lukács’ »Bolero«, Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s »The ugly Duckling«, Thierry Malandain’s »Don Juan« and »Cendrillon« (Fairy and Godmother), Davide Bombana’s »Roméo et Juliette«, Rudolf Nureyev’s »Swan Lake«, Lotte de Beer's & Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker«, Paul Taylorʼs »Dandelion Wine« and works by Martin Schläpfer such as »Drittes Klavierkonzert«. Furthermore, she has been dancing in several musicals, operettas and operas at the Volksoper Wien as well as operas in the Vienna State Opera.
