Sabine Devieilhe

Sabine Devieilhe, who hails from Normandy, first studied cello and musicology before devoting herself entirely to her vocal training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. Shortly after graduating, she received invitations to the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, as well as to Montpellier for the title role in Léo Delibes' Lakmé and to Lyon for her debut as the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte). Today she is in demand both in France and internationally, with a repertoire ranging from early music to contemporary compositions. Upcoming engagements include the title role in Zaïde at the Salzburg Festival, Dalinda (Ariodante) and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) at the Paris Opéra, the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Opéra Comique, Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare) in Paris and Amsterdam, Ophélie (Hamlet) at the Palau de la Música in Valencia and the Teatro Real Madrid, as well as a series of concerts in Vienna, Paris, Salzburg, and Bordeaux. She made her debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2018 as Marie in La Fille du régiment.
